Market Report Description

The North America Satellite Modem Market would witness market growth of 14.9% CAGR during the forecast period (2022-2028).

A modem transmits data by modifying one or more carrier signal signals to encode digital information, whereas the receiver demodulates the signals to reconstruct the original digital information. The objective is to generate a message that can be reliably sent and decoded. Modems are compatible with nearly all methods of analog signal transmission, from light-emitting LEDs to radio.

Modems are generally categorized according to the maximum amount of data they can transmit in a given unit of time, which is typically stated in bits per second (occasionally abbreviated "bps") or, less frequently, in bytes per second (rarely abbreviated "B/s"). Typically, the speed of a modern broadband modem is measured in megabits per second (Mbit/s).

In the past, modems were frequently categorized by their symbol rate, which was measured in baud. The baud unit represents symbols per second or the frequency at which the modem transmits a new signal. The ITU V.21 standard, for instance, uses audio frequency-shift typing with two potential frequencies, corresponding to two separate symbols, to transmit 300 bits per second at 300 baud. The original ITU V.22 standard, which could send and receive four different symbols (two bits per symbol), conveyed 1,200 bits utilizing phase-shift keying and 600 symbols per second (600 baud).

Through the construction of Telesat's LEO Satellite Constellation, the Government of Canada and Telesat have cooperated to provide inexpensive high-speed Internet connectivity in Canada's distant and rural communities. Since these LEO satellites will be 35 times closer to Earth than conventional satellites, Internet signals will travel faster and will be available everywhere on the globe with minimal latency and similar to fiber. The growing demands of the internet and various companies sending their satellite to space propels the utilization of the satellite modem in this region.

The US market dominated the North America Satellite Modem Market by Country in 2021; thereby, achieving a market value of $261.8 million by 2028. The Canada market is experiencing a CAGR of 17.5% during (2022 - 2028). Additionally, The Mexico market would witness a CAGR of 16.5% during (2022 - 2028).
