Market Report Description

The Latin America, Middle East and Africa Brake System Market would witness market growth of 7.6% CAGR during the forecast period (2022-2028).

A braking rotor is physically affixed to the wheel makes up disc brakes. The brake pads on either side of the rotor are squeezed by hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder acting on a caliper, which is located slightly outside the rotor and holds the brake pads. The car slows down and comes to a stop as a result of friction between the pads and the rotor. Drum brakes work by mounting a braking drum inside the wheel.

Two brake shoes are pressed on the braking drum by hydraulic pressure as the brake pedal contracts. As a result of the friction, the car slows down and comes to a stop. Auxiliary Brakes Parking brakes and emergency brakes are two types of secondary braking systems that operate separately from the service brakes. Almost all emergency brakes are powered by wires that mechanically apply pressure to the wheels. This is despite the fact that there are numerous distinct types of brakes available in the market.

They can also be utilized in emergency situations if the stationary brakes fail. They are typically employed to keep a vehicle still while it is parked. On the majority of current cars, anti-lock brake systems (ABS) are standard. ABS prevents the wheels from locking up when the stationary brakes are abruptly applied, keeping the tires from skidding. When traveling on slick, rainy roads, this capability comes in especially handy.

More than 70 car models have been examined throughout Latin America as part of the New Car Assessment Program for Latin America and the Caribbean (Latin NCAP). The program was started by World Health Organization and it aims to increase vehicle safety in these regions. New Car Assessment Programs (NCAP) evaluate new cars for crashworthiness and assign them a score that reflects their performance. The goal of NCAPs is to increase consumer awareness and demand for safer cars while also increasing the supply of safer vehicles.
